Looking For Love
HE'S FINE BUT IS HE SAVED by Kimberley Brooks is the story of three friends, Michelle, Sandy and Liz, who are all single, saved and trying to live their life for the Lord. Michelle and Liz are further along in their Christian walk than Sandy, but each of them have their own crosses to bear and realize when all else fails look to the Lord.
Michelle, a human resource director, has a successful career but is unlucky in love. When she is hurt by a man she met at church, her faith in men and relationships dwindle to almost nothing. She is left with a lot of unanswered questions and wonders whether it was something she did to assist in the relationship ending.
Sandy works at a retail store and is a new convert to the Christian walk. She is trying her best to live her life according to the word of God, but the fine men she keeps encountering make it hard for her. Having one foot in the church and the other out in the world, she is finding it hard living single and saved and sometimes thinks life was much easier prior to accepting Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
Liz, an elementary school teacher, who has also been called by God to become an evangelist, is the strongest of the three in her Christian walk. She has little to no tolerance for Sandy and sometimes considers her a third wheel when it comes to her and Michelle's friendship. This, however, is the least of her worries as she deals with her mom being promiscuous and drinking. Liz firmly believes that the prayers of the righteous availeth much and she fervently prays for her mother's salvation.
HE'S FINE BUT IS HE SAVED is a fast-paced book that deals with real life issues. What I enjoyed most about the book were that the issues were easy to relate to. Anyone reading this book could see herself in one of these characters. Although the issues at hand were at times tough to deal with, they knew that God had their back, and if they just trusted in Him all else would fall into place.

"Like so many single sisters, Sandy, Michelle and Liz are each looking for "the one": a man whoâ€Ts fine and financially fit - and who's found God. Too tall an order? Thatâ€Ts what itâ€Ts starting to look like when it comes to the men they meet. Sandy, who's just accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, attracts only sex maniacs. Michelle, a successful human relations director, canâ€Tt understand how Pierre Dupree, her church's most eligible bachelor, got away from her. And Liz, an elementary school teacher, hasn't dated in years, as all her attention has been spent trying to tame her wild, heavy drinking, promiscuous momma, who's 45 and acts 25.... But can these women truly walk with Jesus and find true love? They'll just have to have faith!"
